Avocado Oil
Avocado is one of the highest sources of good oil and fats, is characterized by the fact of having a high content of monounsaturated fatty acid, that can be very similar to olive oil.
– Current status: 1,000 hectares of avocado plants are currently being cultivated
– Another 1,000 hectares are planned
– Possible solutions for this side stream product are: Avocado pulp or avocado oil
Possible applications:
– Chocolate: instead of cocao-butter, oil to use for frying purposes, vegan-dairy production, baked goods
– Cosmetics industry
